2021 Nissan Rogue | Kanata

The 2021 model year is the start of a new generation for the Nissan Rogue. Redesigned from the ground up, it is perfectly perfect in every way. The Rogue has long been Nissan’s best-selling vehicle, even though it lacked some of the higher quality features found on competing models. That is no longer the case as Nissan performed a complete redesign on the Rogue for 2021. The 2021 Rogue starts at $28,498 and is available in three model configurations.

What to Expect

Listing the features that are not new on the 2021 Nissan Rogue would probably be easier because that is how fresh everything is on the new model. The interior technology now includes three-zone automatic climate control, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, wireless charging pad, and more.

Design

The 2021 Nissan Rogue’s interior styling was updated with a bi-level dashboard that keeps all information and systems in plain view for the driver and cubbies that offer hidden storage space.

The exterior offers new styling as well. The boxier appearance provides a more masculine look to the Rogue, mimicking the power under the hood in its powerful outward appearance.

Performance

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, just like the previous generation. However, it gets a slight power bump up to 181 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive are standard, but an all-wheel drive is an option on all models. The 2021 Nissan Rogue delivers 8.1 L/100km fuel economy.

Infotainment & Safety

The NissanConnect infotainment system is standard on all 2021 Rogue models with an 8-inch touchscreen standard and a larger 9-inch screen available on the higher-end models. Smartphone integration is standard but in-dash navigation, a Bose stereo system, and a large 10.8-inch head-up display are optional.

The Rogue is well-equipped in terms of safety technology with standard driver-assistance features such as automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Available features include adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, semi-autonomous driving mode, and more.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is a modern engineering marvel. Its capability, space, and performance allowed it to compete against competitors such as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 even when its styling and technology were lagging. However, the new redesign provides a great look and important features that level the playing field.
