2022 Nissan Maxima In Kanata
Nissan has a reputation for making full-sized sedans more stylish, eye-catching, and fun to drive. They did not disappoint with the 2022 Nissan Maxima, now available in Kanata. Luxury and spaciousness are a theme that Nissan was aiming for in the Maxima, and they have given us exactly that. The new Maxima offers the space of an SUV in a sedan. It comes in three trim options; the SV, SR, and the top-of-the-range Platinum.
What’s New On The Maxima?
The only change that Nissan has made to the 2022 version is to the Platinum model, which now comes standard with heated rear seats.
Engine and Performance
Nissan dub it the four-door sports car, and they’re not wrong as it’s one of the quickest full-sized sedans on the market. The Maxima has a 3.5L V6 engine which produces a nifty 300 horsepower and 261 pound-foot of torque. This will propel you from zero to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds. The Maxima comes in front-wheel drive (FWD) and has a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with Drive Mode Selector. The suspension is firm and offers great handling in turns at speed.
Models And Pricing
Of all the trim models, the Platinum is probably the one you want to get. It’s worth the extra money as it has many more features added to it. The Maxima Platinum is priced at $46,400, with a price increase if you add the Reserve package. Heated front seats come as a standard feature on all the models and the Maxima SL (base) will cost you $41,740. The SR trim has a sport-tuned suspension and paddle shifter and is priced at $44,790.
Interior And Infotainment
The Nissan Maxima has a spacious cabin and seats five people. The driver and passenger seats have ample legroom, although the rear does not have as much space. The trunk space is not as large as its competitors, but Nissan found a way to combat this by making the rear seats foldable.
The infotainment system comes with an eight-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Vehicle monitoring is an added feature, as well as remote access and an emergency system that contacts emergency services when the airbags deploy.
The base model comes with a basic driver assistance feature, while the SR and Platinum models have more advanced tech.
Some of the safety features are:
Automated emergency braking
Forward collision warning
Adaptive cruise control
