Bringing a Concept to Life - A Nissan X-motion Review

Bringing a Concept to Life - A Nissan X-motion Review

Every year, automobile manufacturers from around the world introduce their future and concept cars. These amazing pieces of machinery expand the use of the word "car" and present models that drivers might have only seen in their dreams.

Often these vehicles are simply concepts and do not go anywhere. However, the Nissan Xmotion Concept is a revolutionary three-row SUV that is getting road-ready and roadworthy.

What is the Nissan Xmotion Concept?

The Nissan Xmotion is a dramatic and daring design for a three-row SUV. It celebrates Nissan's Japanese heritage with artistry that blends smoothly into their high-tech mastery. Boldly fusing two completely separate concepts into one, Nissan created the three-row Xmotion Autonomous Concept SUV and introduced it in 2018.

The Xmotion's Exterior

There is an unlimited number of words that can be used to describe the bold exterior of the Nissan Xmotion. It is daring, powerful, beautiful, and dynamic. Nissan's V-Motion grille remains front and centre on the vehicle, but the signature look has been reimagined for a whole new generation. In addition, the U-shaped body offers a distinctive look that will never be confused for another SUV.

The Nissan Xmotion is a study in evolution. Boomerang headlights, a gloss-black grille, and a metallic finish create a lasting impression from the first look at this ultra-modern SUV.

The Xmotion's Interior

Stepping into the Xmotion is like stepping into the future. Infused with details from the past, the Xmotion's intricate design honours the company's Japanese roots with an interior inspired by Japanese landscapes and tradition. This intricate look then flows into a highly futuristic design with a centre-rear console that serves as a floating command centre with control of the entertainment systems, climate system, and more. It can also sense passengers' movement and adjust accordingly.

The Nissan Xmotion features three rows for 4+2 seating with rear row access provided by doors that open toward the back of the vehicle instead of the front. For security and accessibility, the Xmotion features fingerprint authentication.

Nissan Xmotion Review

The Nissan Xmotion was the winner of the 2018 North America International Auto Show Eyeson Design Award, and it is easy to see why. It seamlessly blends the past with the present, heritage with high-tech. With a lot of screens and hyper-futuristic design, the Xmotion is not for everybody. However, as Nissan continues to refine the details, it is easy to see how this autonomous concept SUV could be the vehicle of the future.
